Mole 1.12.1
Mole: Mac system maintenance app for cleaning and optimization

Mole is the all-in-one system maintenance solution for Mac users who want complete control over their computer's performance without juggling multiple tools. By consolidating cleaning, optimization, analysis, and health monitoring into a single app, Mole simplifies Mac maintenance and frees up valuable disk space.
What You Get
Comprehensive Cleaning & Optimization
Remove junk files in seconds—clear caches, logs, and temporary files; eliminate app remnants and startup clutter from your Dock; and handle system maintenance tasks with a single click.
Transparent, Security-First Approach
Mole operates locally with zero network uploads of your files or browsing history. Before any action is taken, you'll see exactly what will be removed and how much space you'll recover—then confirm before cleanup begins.
Smart Performance Monitoring
Get real-time insights into CPU, memory, GPU, disk, network, battery charge, and temperature usage. Analyze disk space visually with interactive tree-view maps to identify what's consuming room on your drive.
Safe & Intelligent
Deep disk scanning with full access combined with automatic detection means Mole actively skips anything suspicious, protecting your system while delivering thorough results. No guesswork—just safe, reliable maintenance.
The Result
Keep your Mac running smoothly, maximize disk space, and maintain peak system health—all without compromising privacy or security.
Version 1.21.1:
- Efficiency: Mole stays light across multi-day sessions: sampling wakes less often, menu-bar CPU no longer creeps up, and long lists stay smooth.
- Clean: cleanup reaches more apps, including JianyingPro, Dia, and Zed, along with outdated caches. It marks cloud-synced files, reports the space actually reclaimed, and no longer stalls on stubborn folders. Chat history, local models, install data, and active builds stay protected, and the review list reveals files in Finder.
- Software updates: App Store apps update inside Mole when that can finish safely, Homebrew shows real progress and batch updates survive slow networks, and direct installs such as ChatGPT and Chrome hand new releases to their own updater. When macOS blocks a replacement, the row says why and opens the right setting, and a dismissed update notice applies to one build only.
- Uninstall: stable and beta copies protect each other's data, remnants a reinstall would rebuild come pre-selected, and only chosen login items stop. When another task keeps Mole busy, clicking Remove says so instead of doing nothing.
- Battery: Battery Care tops up to 100% on demand, the card shows live power draw, real health, and the heaviest consumer, and accessory names no longer duplicate.
- Menu bar: the runner cast is redrawn pixel-crisp from the open-source RunCat Neo gallery with thanks to Takuto Nakamura, every runner's pace tracks real load, and network speed stays honest under TUN proxies.
- Interface: launch and tab switches no longer flash, buttons answer every press, temperatures default to Celsius, and the health score now counts drive SMART failures and long uptime. VoiceOver no longer lands on blank separator stops, and dual-display Macs no longer end up with two Mole windows.
- Settings: a new Open Source Licenses panel shows every bundled notice, and rows, dividers, and descriptions read cleaner.
- Fixes: scanning no longer asks Macs without developer tools to install them, stopping a process from the menu bar panel keeps the panel open, Doctor and Settings scroll bars follow your macOS setting at the panel edge, and on Intel or low-power Macs the planet rests while Mole is in the background.
